Tyr

Tür (Tiu, Tyr or Tsiu) is a son of Odin.

According to some mythologists, his mother is Frigg, the goddess of the goddesses, according to another version - an anonymous giantess, which is a personification of the raging sea.

Tyr is considered as a god of battle and battlefields, and he is one of the twelve highest gods in Asgard.  Although he does not have his own special palace, he ownes one of the twelve thrones in the great hall in Gladsheim, and he is always gladly welcomed at Wingolw and Valhall.

People of Northern Europe usually turned to Tyr, the god of courage and battle, as well as to Odin, asking for the great gift - victory.

Tyr was identified with the Saxon god Saxnot (from the word “Sax” - “sword”), as well as with Eru, Heru or Cheru, the main deity of the Cheruschi, who considered him the god of the sun, and the sparkling blade of his sword - the personification of the shining light.

The bravest among Aces, it was he who could  finally convince Fenrir in the Aces's lies, when they wanted to chain the great wolf of the Ragnarok. Tyr knew that Fenrir would bite off his hand when he realize, that he can not break the chains, but our hero also remembered that this was a small price to save the Nine Worlds from the bloody harvest of the Great Varg.

Usually, warriors - men pray to Tyr, asking him for courage and ferocity in battle, but often even a simple people turn to him for justice in moments of despair, when it seems that no one will save you from a cruelty of this life.

Strict and strong, he never refuses to help to those who need it.
