The volva seidr seeress is one of the most powerful figures in Old Norse tradition. Known as a wise woman and shaman, she practiced seidr, an ancient form of magic connected to fate and prophecy. This altar skull shaman figurine embodies the mysticism of the Viking Age, making it a meaningful centerpiece for rituals and spiritual practice.

Viking Shaman and the Power of Seidr

In Norse culture, the viking shaman was both feared and respected. The volva often carried a shaman drum and used sacred symbols such as the helm of awe to channel protection and insight. This statue captures these details, reminding us of the deep connection between seeresses and the unseen world.

A Norse Statue for Rituals and Seasonal Celebrations

This norse statue is more than decoration — it is a symbolic tool for those who honor asatru and norse paganism. During yule, the volva was called upon to guide the community through darkness into light. That makes this figurine not only a powerful norse witch representation but also a perfect viking yule gift for modern practitioners.

Symbolism of the Volva Statue

Seidr practice – the core of Norse shamanism
Altar skull shaman imagery – symbol of wisdom and transition
Shaman drum – tool of rhythm and altered states
Helm of awe – protective rune symbol
Yule connection – guiding light during the longest nights

The article is beautiful and it was delievered quickly.

Just a beautiful piece of art. There was some issues in the mail, but it was not the fault of the owner. The owner was fantastic to work with, and made sure that the gift arrived.

Absolutely breathtaking!!! Great quality and exactly as pictured

I love this figure of a volva seeress, a disir and a carrier of the drum.

Awesome! Thank You So Much!

Wonderful carved piece, happy with it

Great addition to our altars

Amazing design, thank you beautiful statue.

Came fast and looks just as described. A wonderful addition for my wife's office.

This statuette is very detailed and well-crafted. Thank you!

The item arrived as described. packaged very well for shipping although it did take a little longer to arrive. The only thing I am not sure of is that it claims to be made of wood. the way it feels in my hand and the sound it makes when I knock on the back makes me think it is actually some kind of composite wood and resin, not pure wood. I didn't want to damage it so I did not test it. However, all that aside, the statuette is just the right size and the detail is amazing (which is why I am like how do you mass produce that with wood). This will add a different depth to my practice.

Tiene muy buen detalle y cumple con lo esperado. Igual el envío fue muy rápido a México. 100% recomendado

Very nice and well done thanks.
