This handcrafted wooden figurine beautifully portrays Freya, one of the most prominent and multifaceted goddesses in Norse mythology. Freya is associated with love, beauty, fertility, gold, seiðr (magic), and war. She is a member of the Vanir tribe of gods, renowned for her captivating presence and formidable power on the battlefield. She is also a leader of the Valkyries and receives half of the warriors who die in battle in her hall, Fólkvangr. This meticulously carved wooden piece can serve as an enchanting addition to a personal collection, a decorative accent for a home, or a meaningful focal point on an altar.
In this depiction, Freya is notably accompanied by her two loyal cats. These felines are not merely companions; they are an iconic attribute of Freya, pulling her chariot. They symbolize her connection to travel, independence, and protection. Cats were also historically revered for their mysterious and agile nature, qualities that resonate with Freya's magical prowess and her ability to move freely between realms. Their presence highlights her powerful and nurturing aspects, making this portrayal particularly evocative of her divine attributes.
Special Note: As each figurine is handcrafted from natural wood, subtle variations in wood grain and minor details may occur, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind. If this item is not immediately available in stock, please allow up to 7 days for your order to be created and dispatched. Please note that shipping time will be additional to the creation period.
