This wooden figurine is designed with a flat back and features a special loop/hook, allowing it to be easily mounted on a wall.

This handcrafted wooden statue intricately depicts Persephone, the Greek Queen of the Underworld and Goddess of Spring. Her poignant story embodies the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, highlighting her dual existence between the dark realm of Hades and the vibrant earth above.

The statue powerfully tells the story of Persephone's forced duality. A ruined left column, entwined with a withered dry vine, vividly symbolizes her descent and departure to the kingdom of Hades, representing the barrenness that accompanies her absence from the surface. Her bare chest evokes the sad and often debated tale of Hades's abuse and her forced union. In her hands, she holds a pomegranate, the fruit that forever binds her to the underworld, and skulls, further signifying her dominion over the deceased. Above her, an arch bears the image of her loving mother, Demeter, whose profound grief and persistent love compel Persephone's return from her underground imprisonment, bringing forth spring. The right column symbolizes Persephone's time on earth with Demeter, a period of vital fertility, flourishing life, and renewed growth. This wooden statue beautifully captures the complexity and profound symbolism of Persephone’s story, making it a captivating addition to your home or sacred altar.

Custom Persephone

I reached out to Mykhailo to see if he could customize this statue (and Hades, as well) to have a detailed back instead of the flat back. He was more than happy to do that, He asked me if I had any particular ideas in mind but I trusted his creative vision better than mine and what I received was so absolutely amazing that I don't really think that I have the words to describe how happy I am about it. LOL The turnaround time was fast, His customer service is awesome. I will definitely purchasing other statues and I even have a couple other custom ideas in mind already. 😉

I’m losing track of how many statues I have from this artist. Arrived in the US so quickly all things considered. This piece is next level. I love the direction the shop is going in and already placed a new order for Ishtar and Aphrodites latest incarnations.

Alles Gut. Bin zufrieden. Gerne wieder.

Olga was very helpful too, as there was a bit of an issue with the delivery due to labelling software, but everything was resolved very quickly. Can definitely recommend.
