This wooden figurine is designed with a flat back and features a special loop/hook, allowing it to be easily mounted on a wall.

This handcrafted wooden figurine powerfully depicts Dagda, the preeminent "Good God" of Celtic mythology, revered as a master of the earth, fertility, abundance, and wisdom. As a pivotal figure among the Tuatha Dé Danann, Dagda is often seen as a father figure, possessing immense power and a benevolent nature. This meticulously carved wooden piece brings a robust and ancient presence, making it a compelling addition to a personal collection, a striking decorative accent for a home, or a profound focal point for those drawn to the deep wisdom and nurturing aspects of Celtic lore.

In this portrayal, Dagda is represented holding his most iconic magical items: his club and his cauldron. His club is a weapon of immense power, capable of both slaying and reviving, symbolizing his dominion over life and death, and his ability to bring both destruction and healing. His cauldron, known as the "Undry," is a vessel of endless abundance and sustenance, from which no one ever goes away hungry, signifying his role in providing prosperity and nourishment. His imposing figure and wise demeanor in this depiction capture the essence of his role as a protector and provider, embodying the fundamental strengths and nurturing qualities attributed to this mighty Celtic deity.

Special Note: As each figurine is handcrafted from natural wood, subtle variations in wood grain and minor details may occur, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind. If this item is not immediately available in stock, please allow up to 7 days for your order to be created and dispatched. Please note that shipping time will be additional to the creation period.

This is perfection. It is beautiful and will be a fine way to honor my Ancestors and the old Gods of my people. Сердечно дякую!

Just arrived, awesome work. Will definitely order some more in the future.

Mihail has captured An Dagda's character warmth and confidence beautifully, from the pose to the nuance of the club and harp. The quality of the carving is breathtaking. I am really happy to put this piece on my altar.

He is amazingly beautiful! Handsomely crafted! Shipping time was great! Will buy from again!

Amazing! Beautiful work and shipped immediately. Excellent service!

His representation reminds me so much of how I always think of Grandfather Time from the old children's book Grandfather Twilight. A wise elder who loves everyone as his children whether they are biologically or not (though in this case, we can argue we all are). Having a statue for my altar is helping me to connect to the Masculine divinities such as Cernunnos whose statue I also acquired. I wasn't fortunate to know my paternal grandfather beyond the age of 3-4 and my maternal grandfather beyond the age of 8, however, I remember them both as loving, guiding and wise in each of their ways. Having a connection to those happy memories is helping me in spirit + mind.

This statue is a work of art! It’s gorgeous, lightweight, and a piece I’m proud to display. I highly recommend this artist and will be a repeat customer!
Thank you again!

Ich liebe ihn einfach. Tolles Kunsthandwerk

Beautiful work! It is exactly as described and shown in the listing. I love the craftsmanship and quality -- definitely worth the purchase and more!

It's even more beautiful in person than the picture! I will definitely be ordering from your shop again when it is possible! Thank you so much!

Nazar and Mihaylo are the shop owners. The carvings are beautiful and look exactly as depicted. The shipping process was a bit confusing but they explained what was happening and it was much faster delivery than Etsy said it would be. We are using the figures to celebrate candlemas, an ancient pagan and Christian rite as the days begin to get longer

You can buy with confidence.
