This handcrafted wooden figurine portrays Ishtar, also known as Inanna, the supreme goddess of war, love, fertility, and cosmic authority in ancient Sumerian and Mesopotamia mythology. Celebrated as one of the most influential deities of the ancient world, ishtar embodies sovereignty, beauty, passion, and unstoppable force. Her cult stretches across millennia, connecting to the symbol of venus, the mysteries of babalon, and the divine lineage of the anunnaki. This artwork honors the mythic power associated with ishtar statue, inanna statue, and the celestial brilliance of both the star of ishtar and the star of inanna.
In this dynamic depiction, ishtar is shown in her warrior aspect. She holds a bow in one hand and an arrow in the other, capturing her strength as a divine protector and conqueror. One foot rests upon a fierce lion—her sacred animal and timeless symbol of royalty and dominance—while her other foot presses upon the head of a defeated enemy, signifying triumph, justice, and unchallenged divine authority. Her head is adorned with the traditional horned crown worn by Mesopotamian deities, marking her elevated celestial status. Behind her rise her wings, fanned out in full power.
In the background, six arrows stand arranged behind her, representing warfare, divine will, and her dominion over conflict. Flanking her are two carved owls, symbols of night vision, mystic insight, and ancient magic. Supporting the celestial scene are Sumerian-style columns that uphold the radiant star of ishtar, shining behind the goddess as the ultimate emblem of her divinity.
This statue beautifully merges ancient aesthetics with mythological depth, making it a powerful expression of inanna, ishtar statue, sumerian artistry, mesopotamia symbolism, and celestial venus statue tradition.
This wooden figurine is designed with a flat back and features a special loop/hook, allowing it to be easily mounted on a wall.
