This wooden figurine is designed with a flat back and features a special loop/hook, allowing it to be easily mounted on a wall.

This handcrafted wooden bust powerfully depicts The Green Man, an ancient and universal symbol found across many cultures, particularly prominent in Celtic and European folklore. Representing the spirit of nature, rebirth, and the cyclical rhythm of growth, The Green Man is the embodiment of the wild, untamed aspects of the forest and the vital life force that permeates all things. This meticulously carved wooden piece brings a profound connection to the natural world, making it a captivating addition to a personal collection, an organic decorative accent for a home, or a meaningful focal point for those drawn to the enduring power of nature.

In this portrayal, The Green Man is depicted as a bust covered in intricate oak leaves and acorns, symbolizing his deep connection to the forest and its enduring strength. His hands are crossed, with fingers interlocked in a meditative mudra, conveying a sense of profound contemplation, inner peace, and harmony with the natural world. This figurine is available in two distinct options: with open eyes or with closed eyes, allowing for a personalized expression of his watchful wisdom or serene introspection. Furthermore, hidden within the detailed foliage, you'll discover various small creatures: a beetle, a snake, a snail, and even a bird. These subtle additions represent the diverse fauna of the forest, underscoring their integral role as an undeniable part of the woodland and its ancient guardian.

Special Note: As each figurine is handcrafted from natural wood, subtle variations in wood grain and minor details may occur, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind. This is a really exquisite piece of craftsmanship, so very happy with my purchase.

Green Man. The Spirit of Nature that I woefully attempt to emulate. This carving is superb. Clean and crisp cuts that make the elements of this carving Pop. I order the hanging model and will place in prominence for all who enter my home. An extremely well executed carving of a great protector of Wild.

The details of this piece are astounding. I am glad a closed eyes variant is offered, as the open eyes would have been a bit creepy, honestly. I don't know much regarding the Greenman, but this piece was too gorgeous to pass up on ignorance alone. Beautifully crafted. I look forward to revisiting this shop soon.
