Freya is one of the most revered goddesses in Norse mythology. She is associated with love, beauty, fertility, prosperity, and seiðr, the powerful form of Norse magic connected with wisdom, prophecy, and transformation. A member of the Vanir, Freya is also linked to courage and the honored dead, receiving half of the warriors who fall in battle in her hall, Fólkvangr.
Her sacred symbols include the falcon feather cloak, the necklace Brísingamen, cats that draw her chariot, and the boar Hildisvíni. Freya embodies feminine strength, independence, intuition, abundance, and the balance between compassion and power.
