This handcrafted wooden figurine portrays Bragi, the revered God of Poetry and Music in Norse mythology. Bragi is celebrated for his eloquence, wisdom, and mastery of scaldic poetry. He is often depicted as an older, distinguished figure with a long beard, a visual representation of his profound knowledge and experience in the arts of verse and song. This meticulously carved wooden piece can serve as an inspiring addition to a personal collection, a decorative accent for a home, or a focal point on an altar.
In this depiction, Bragi is shown holding a traditional musical instrument, a symbol deeply connected to his domain. This instrument represents his role as the divine skald (poet) and musician among the gods. Bragi is said to greet the fallen warriors upon their arrival in Valhalla with his verses, immortalizing their deeds through song. His association with music and poetry makes him a patron of artistic expression and a symbol of the power of words and melodies.
Special Note: As each figurine is handcrafted from natural wood, subtle variations in wood grain and minor details may occur, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind.
