This handcrafted wooden figurine exquisitely celebrates Brigid the Smith, one of the powerful manifestations of the Celtic goddess Brigid. Beyond her associations with fire and poetry, Brigid is also a revered patron of craftsmanship, metalworking, and all forms of creative endeavor, embodying the transformative power of the forge. This meticulously carved wooden piece, painted with a patina effect and varnished to enhance its beauty, emanates a sense of skilled artistry and creative force, making it a perfect addition to a personal collection, an inspiring decorative accent for a home, or a meaningful focal point on an altar

In this detailed portrayal, Brigid the Smith is depicted behind an anvil, holding a hammer in her hands, direct and potent symbols of her mastery over the forge and her immense creative power. These attributes highlight her role in shaping raw materials into objects of beauty and utility, representing the transformative energy inherent in creation. The tools at her feet further underscore her prowess and dedication to craftsmanship. This particular figurine is designed as one of three pieces in a special collection, honoring the multifaceted aspects of this revered Celtic goddess.

As always, the quality of this vendor comes through. Beautiful work that will live well on the shrine to Brighid the Maker in my studio. As I will come back to this vendor over and over for their glorious work. Also, used UPS shipping to avoid the postal service kerfuffle going on in Europe to the U.S.
