This wooden figurine is designed with a flat back and features a special loop/hook, allowing it to be easily mounted on a wall.
This handcrafted wooden figurine beautifully embodies Idunn, the vital goddess of youth and rejuvenation in Norse mythology. As the keeper of the golden apples, she is indispensable to the Æsir, whose immortality depends on partaking of her fruits. Idunn's story highlights the precarious balance of the gods' existence and her crucial role in maintaining their eternal youth. This meticulously carved wooden piece brings a refreshing and life-affirming presence, making it a captivating addition to a personal collection, a charming decorative accent for a home, or a source of enduring vitality on an altar.
In this thoughtful depiction, Idunn is set against the backdrop of a flourishing apple tree, her most iconic symbol. She holds a basket brimming with golden apples, the very source of the gods' immortality and eternal youth. This attribute not only underscores her divine role as the sole keeper of these precious fruits but also symbolizes unending vitality, restoration, and the cyclical nature of life. The intricate details of both the tree and the basket capture the essence of her nurturing and life-giving power, reflecting her profound connection to growth, renewal, and the flourishing of all things.
Special Note: As each figurine is handcrafted from natural wood, subtle variations in wood grain and minor details may occur, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind. If this item is not immediately available in stock, please allow up to 7 days for your order to be created and dispatched. Please note that shipping time will be additional to the creation period.
